OK I hear you about the DIY bit
but I owned a 1987 Saab 900t most of this time as well and I could DIY most of what went wrong with that car - which was a LOT less than what went wrong with my E320. Very few people on this forum...

Ownership Experience 1994 E320 Wagon
I thought I would share for the benefit of others contemplating a similar purchase. I bought this car 6.5 years ago for $13.6k and put 82,000 miles on it. I lost $1938 per year in depreciation and...

I love all your comments!
The only rust on the car is the right front fender which is getting some pretty bad surface rust around the wheel well. I was considering replacing the fender with another "Brilliant Silver" fender...

No it's the condenser not the evaporator
when the mechanic told me $2800 I was sure he was talking about the evaporator. But no, he meant the condenser. And I thought it was totally crazy too. I've done my share of brake jobs, and a few...

The end of my 94 E320 Wagon?
The car runs great with 155k miles on it but the a/c condenser started to leak and one of the lines cannot be disconnected from it and will need replacement. I was quoted $2800 to fix it. I did...

I totally agree
The right way to deal with our dependence on oil is raise the price of gasoline by taxing it. To look on the bright side - Hopefully this takes a lot more crappy SUVs off the road than Mercedes V12s...

1994 E320 Wagon ready for CARS program?
It has 150,000 miles, some rust just starting on the right front quarterpanel, a new exhaust, in need of a 150k tuneup. The government will give me $4500 for it on a new VW Sportwagen TDi so why...

My mechanic charged $120 to fix it
he seems to have reused the old clamp for the cat side, so I am suppose he got the bolts out of the hole somehow. Charged me $8 for new nuts and bolts, but I'm not complaining!

Can't you use a Becker Bahamas and plug right in?
That's what I did in my 94 E320. I did not have to cut one wire. The plug went right into the back of the radio. The amp still works. I'm not sure what other models this works on.

Possible to replace coax connector at radio?
I messed this up installing my new radio and now the FM reception is spotty. Can this connector to the coax antenna lead be replaced? Or do I need to buy a whole new antenna cable?

1994 E320 Engine Electrical Chain of Events

I think that is a good test >
If you have good coolant flow, then the radiator should be too hot to touch everywhere. When you replace the radiator, replace the hoses as well.

Is it possible your nitrogen cells are bad?
Mine went on my 1994 wagon and the ride was quite rough - not as rough as on the 1991 4-matic wagon when its cells went, but noticeably rough nonetheless.
