Don't put the thread sealant under the ball stud base. It should be placed on or around the threads. The bottom of the base can be seen if you look above the spark plugs.

Changes were made from VIN and not always model year so it's possible that some 1969 cars could have cone signal lights but generally it's only for 1968.
