Need help with seats
I am in the process of recovering my seats in my 1978 450 SL. I need to know the best way to remove the headrests, as well as the armrest on the drivers seat.
Thanks, Don Solomon Durango, CO |

Somebody please help me. The weather was suppose to be crappy, but the weather has changed.
The wife wants to do a "road trip" before the end of the weekend, so I have to get these seats done today, or suffer the consequences. Thanks, Don |

I can't help you with the armrest, but there is a hidden release under the material on the back of the seat for the headrests, at least on my seats. Feel around and you will find it. Press it down, pull, and the headrests will come off.

seats
Take the back off of the seat (two screws at the bottom, one on each side) you will find a 26mm nut holding the armrest on to the seat. Sorry that I did not see this earlier.
