Need to change front and back rotors but can't seem to get them to move after I remove all the bolts

first do a search here and at www.club202.com for some threads on C230 brake work. I know I have posted some extensive step by step procedures for the job.

On the rear brakes the emergency brake may have to be loosened and a mallet used to bang off the rotor. You did pull off the 5mm hex that hold each rotor on?

yes you usually need to bang it off, I use a fifteen lb. mallet and give it a good wack.

I guess you get some galvanic binding from the iron rotor and aluminum alloy (?) hub causing sticking.

Also before putting the new rotor on sand the matting surfaces where the rotor touches the hub and apply some anti-seize on the surfaces.

But many times the rear emergency brake does have to be loosened.
