Question Here we go again... Tranny issues

there we again
the tranny looks like is stuck on the 3rd gear
It does not want to shift to 4th.
It shifts ok from 1st to 3rd though (bit rough i may add--probably friction plates??)
Is is a mechanical issue or the tranny computer is acting up?
Oil is ok and been replaced over the summer eventhough there is a typical front seal leak.
Do you guys reccomend replacing the unit ot rebuild?
How much they go about for a good used unit or to rebuild one (seals and friction plates)?
Do I have to pull the engine out to replace the tranny of the tranny can be replaced with engine on car?
thanks for your help

It’s always hard to diagnose these types of transmission problems. Could be valves body related, valves or K2 accumulator, a leak in the K2 drum, K2 sealing rings, and a B2 seal leak. Have it diagnose at a reputable transmission shop. 722.3 transmissions are hydraulically operated.

You don’t have to remove the motor to change the transmissions.
