Bosch non-resistor plugs
I got this from ******** arizona today..
any thoughts on their response? Lee, Sorry, the rumors are true. In the last 12-18 months, Bosch has discontinued the production of non-resistor type plugs for a variety of applications, including your's. Bosch's reason for doing so is because the average resistor plug contains 100-200 Ohms of resistance while the average wire set contains 5000. Bosch's contention is that the resistance in the plugs is so minimal compared to what is in the wires anyway, it won't make a difference unless the ignition system is having other problems. As long as your ignition system is working properly, Bosch believes everything should work fine. I have even heard from some local mechanics that other plug manufacturers such as Champion and NGK are following suite and discontinuing the non-resistor plugs. Unfortunately, there isn't anything that we can do about this issue anyway because H9DC, non-resistor plugs have not been produced by Bosch in at least a year.
