Yes You have to pay to play

I havent really started playing yet so I guess I havent started paying yet. But I belive I will. Fortunatly I work on my car myself so a $700 alternator and battery becomes a $70 battery and $10 set of brushes. It's not too bad.

Oh at the dealer where I worked 20 years ago. $700.00 would get you an alternator and battery in a 190E.

It would appear to me that this vehicle would be an excellent purchase. If the work was done properly, you'll probably get 5 years of service with very little repairs on it. Naturally, you'll have the typical climate control issues, but, it appears that it's in very sound condition underhood.

I would think such a vehicle would have a value greater than $10K if the receipts and the repairs are legit.

I'm certain, barring a catastropic failure of the engine, that it could be maintained for $3K per year........considering it's current condition. That's not excessive for a vehicle of this magnitude.

If I had a mechanic that knew the vehicle, I might buy it myself.

They do have the economy guage which keeps you honest, but it goes into the deep red very quickly...

You would have been proud. Came back late last night from Manhattan. Stayed in the left and did 70-75 the entire ride. Very few $hitboxes actually run that speed in the dark on the LIE.

Wow blowing the cob webs out? I have only been averaging 20mpg-21mpg lately. All around town use with the AC is killing my mileage, also driving kind of fast...

I guess I shouldn't complain, for a big car thats not bad for all city driving.

I'm down to 27 mpg myself..........worst ever. Combination of 70 mph and a/c is a killer.

Yep, coming back from the GTG in MA I got horrible mileage. Did it in just about an hour...

Kyle left in his 240D about 10 minutes before me, but I blew past him at like 95mph... I followed an A6 at 90mph pretty much the whole way down I91, just needed to lift for the 95 merge.

My tires aren't balanced well enough for anything over 80. The POS tire shop has no proper wheel weights for M/B wheels and had to do the glue on. We all know where they went.

No $10 a tire, $40+ tax out the door, cheapest and best balance I ever got.

I love the dealer!

That's amazing. Never figured you'd get a price that cheap on that machine.

Maybe I'll drive up there..............

Me neither, the dealer continues to surprise me. If I had a 10% off coupon I could have gotten it for a bit less. I'm going to price out a set of tires when the time comes.

The best thing about using the dealer, is when you go to pull the wheel off...the bolts are not cranked on to a million ft pounds! They also road tested it and washed it!

Can you get a discount rate at your brothers dealer? All MB dealers probably have the Hunter.
