"Some of those bills are a bit high.

But whatever you have to pay to play. If you don't want to or can't pay the S600 is not a car for you. They cost what they cost so what?"

Thank you, thats exactly right...you gotta pay to play

And in the case of a V12, pay and pay and pay and pay and pay...

One M104 is enough. Why does one need two joined at the crank (AKA M120)? That's just overkill, even for the W140.

Multiples of everything. And no room to stick your fingers through.

Should've just made a 6.0 liter M119 stock. Less weight with the same power per displacement ratio.

This is an extreme example, I know lots of happy S600 owners.

If you don't want the V12 buy an S320, but if money is no object (which should be the case if you are buying a $150k car) the V12 is a wonderfull engine and amazing drive.

I really doubt that someone making $500k a year is going to give two ****s about how hard it is to work on one. You have to remember the S600's target market, they don't pop the hood...

It would appear to me that this vehicle would be an excellent purchase. If the work was done properly, you'll probably get 5 years of service with very little repairs on it. Naturally, you'll have the typical climate control issues, but, it appears that it's in very sound condition underhood.

I would think such a vehicle would have a value greater than $10K if the receipts and the repairs are legit.

I'm certain, barring a catastropic failure of the engine, that it could be maintained for $3K per year........considering it's current condition. That's not excessive for a vehicle of this magnitude.

If I had a mechanic that knew the vehicle, I might buy it myself.

Yes You have to pay to play

I havent really started playing yet so I guess I havent started paying yet. But I belive I will. Fortunatly I work on my car myself so a $700 alternator and battery becomes a $70 battery and $10 set of brushes. It's not too bad.

Oh at the dealer where I worked 20 years ago. $700.00 would get you an alternator and battery in a 190E.
