1995 E320 Brake question

Howdy,

I was just wondering what the torque specs are for the brake rotors front and rear for a 1995 320.

Thanks.

The torque spec. for both the front and rear rotors is 10Nm. The bolts should not be re-used.

I presume you're referring to the torque for the rotor set screw. Please explain why the set screw should be replaced. I can't believe a torque setting for the set screw is critical ... snug-tight should be fine. Once the lug bolts are installed/torqued the rotor isn't going anywhere. In fact many/most cars don't have rotor set screws.

Ferdman, I agree with you. I seriously doubt that re-using the set screw would cause any problems. I simply looked up the work instructions in WIS and posted the details for JayGH.
