S420 Timing chain 97'
I have a 97' S420 with 167K that I believe had the timing chain jump. Is this engine an interference type? Do I have any valves left or a bunch of really neat paperweights now?
I randomly checked #2 cylinder last night and found no compression.
Is the timing chain on this engine one really long chain for the entire valve train?
Is it possible on the S420 to have the timing skip just a few degrees and not bend all the valves?
I plan on taking it apart more tonight to see where I stand.
