722.3 parts

Hello, I am trying to find out how to order the internal springs for the 722.3 valve body.
rv2 shut off valve
accumulator switching on control valve
k2 shift valve
b2 detent valve

Does any one know how to order these?

I got your email.

So far I don't think you've actually said which transmission you have. You need to supply the last two numbers where the Xes are in this =>

722.3XX

Then we might be able to help you.

You might be able to find individual parts via a Mercedes dealer or the site sponsors but again you need to tell them with transmission you have. Ideally you also need to read off the part number off of the valve body so that people can point you in the right direction.

Transmissions fitted to V8 petrol engines were at one time using more "unique" 722.3s => the gearing was different and so were the valve bodies. Many valve bodies were also different for different country destinations...

...look chap you have to help us (in the form of basic information) so that we can help you. If you can't be bothered then that's it then isn't it.

I assume the first six numbers you posted are above are actually

722.370

I don't know if that is correct though - can you find these numbers written on the casing just above the oil pan on the right hand side of the transmission?

If it is indeed a 722.370 then I am unable to get very far for the part numbers for you. This is all I have =>

http://mb.ilcats.ru/part/class/1/ccode/1/cat/09T/type/722/subtype/370/group/27/subgr//vers//imgno/9

which doesn't help at all.

If you happen to be somewhere in the US of A you can get free access to the EPC via www.startekinfo.com (don't get confused between WIS which costs thousands of dollars and EPC which is free)

Otherwise you need to get in touch with the site sponsors or go and see a Mercedes dealer.

Googling the valve body part number comes up with this

Shame the valve body is no longer available - still at least you know which car you need to look for when you get yourself an EPC account.

For EPC are you filling in your data in this page?

EPC-net Online - Subscription Step 1 of 3

(It might be a good idea to clear all of the old junk out of your browser cache because the site really is a crappy one - I bet it will pick up the information that you've already tried to use)

here is what i keep finding with epc, nothing to dig into it, i even paid for 24 access for the startek website, i downloaded all these transmission manuals and they just say a number like 52 and title of parts, no real part numbers to order.

Can someone chime in and help with how to use EPC?

I have had a go on it once but as it costs an arm and a leg for me to get it here in Holland I've never bothered - I just go to the dealer if I can't find it on line.

I was under the impression that you could just click on the diagram on say part 52 and then it gets added to the shopping list in the bottom left hand corner of the screen (see screen shot posted above).

@ OP => may be it is time to just call the site sponsors and ask them to find the parts you need?

I never find the parts on EPC to the valve body. Could not find it on the net either I guess the mercedes dealer is the best place but they might not sell parts only valve body.

Internal valve body parts like springs and valves generally are not available separately, regardless of manufacturer. If you have a broken spring your best (and probably only) option is to get a valve body from a junkyard transmission and replace the part you need.
