All useful information but what do I check for as the cause?

Now that you have copied the codes.

Clear all codes, and drive it to see if they all come back (this may take seconds - two days depending on cause) .
If the battery voltage dropped off during service or for any other reason, it sets random phantom codes.
There are few things more frustrating than chasing phantom codes.

If this has been done, we can continue diagnosis now.

I did reset or clear the codes. Upon starting the Check Engine light still came on. But, the next day it was off. Comes and goes. Came and went even before resetting the codes. No outward signs of anything wrong. Starts fine, idles smooth, no hesitation.
By the by dubya, I've been a gear head all my life and never heard of an intake manifold "failing" whats the deal? Do they crack, warp, what?

Thanks, Dave

Answer

There is nothing normal about the C230 intake manifold.

Not something I want to own. What happened to Benz?
Thanks again. You're always a great help.
