Phew I'm glad that's sorted out - I feel a bit like Christopher Columbus - as in someone who has found something - got the credit - but it is apparent to everyone else that lots of people have found it before!

The real credit goes to the chap who took the time to make that series of pictures.

Well I'm glad to hear it.

I do get the impression that you've somehow managed to fool the system into thinking the temperature is at a different level and so you get into a different mode of operation. I might have time today to investigate these systems further.

If you are happy with your fix then I guess that's it - and I don't want to cause trouble - but I would like to ask if you had gone through the tedious chapter in the FSM shown here =>

The zoo actually got the sensor to me today. Was able to slip a 22mm right over the old one and had it replaced in under 10 minutes.

Not perfect but far better.
By around 50C, the idle is down to acceptable.
Hopefully the tower and EHA adjustments will tweak it in.
I will also be replacing all the injector boots.
