W124 Subframe mounts broken...DIY'able?
So in my search for the pull to the right side, I discovered that my subframe mounts are so broken I can pry the subframe up or down almost a full inch.
I cannot imagine that is normal. Visually they are cracked all the way around. I am wondering if the subframe mounts are so broken that its shifted the subframe to the right and that is why my wagon pulls to the right even though the alignment is OK and tires have no sign of wear problems. How much more difficult are the subframe mounts on the wagon versus the sedan?

You are talking about the body pocket that the sub frame bolts to?
I'd like pics. I've done a lot of stuff to the 124 subframe...

I wondered if the rear subframe bushings might be the culprit for your issues at speed.
Should be almost identical sedan to wagon, except for the SLS. I've not done this job but I need to, hopefully someone can chime in with their experience. I'm especially wondering the best methods w/o a spring compressor and what DIY bushing pullers people have used. |

That's what I am leaning towards now. It's needed them for a while now it's just not exactly an easy job.
It makes sense since my tires show no signs of bad alignment so if the subframe is leaning to the right. Either way this needs to be done along with the differential mounts because I have a drive train clunk when it shifts or with abrupt acceleration. I guess when it rains it pours all at once! Got a number of issues to resolve simultaneously unfortunately.
