Question E320 94 limp mode

Got a problem and a few questions. To start off with, our kick down switch went off or broke. We removed it and tried driving, car drove great, then car went into limp mode. I gather limp mode is to protect the transmission. One prob was a friend decided I needed more tranny fluid, well it made the fluid overfilled. So my son drained some out. It didnt help. The car would get up to speed then just die down, not keep up the speed. Has high RPMS when you try to drive it up to hwy speed. It worked great one day next day it didnt.

Question 1: is that because we didnt replace the kick down switch
Question 2: did overfilling the tranny cause this
Question 3: can someone tell me how to reset the tranny for the 94 E320 (W124
Question 4: can this be fixed and do I need to replace the kick down switch to reset the tranny
Question 5: Will replacing the kick down switch help with the Limp Mode

As I said the car wont keep steady speed. Will get up to hwy then just die down. PLS HELP or this car is going to the auction on Tues. I would miss this car, has a grea 6 motor, so quiet

HELP
