86 420sel, 126, 180k paid $1000 3 months ago had new tires on it. interior is beautiful, exterior has small crash right rear (estimate is $600) evrything worked xcept (of course ac) power antenna (needed a new shaft $12), and had to put a new alternator ($30 craigs list). paint shines power everything works, runs and shifts great. this is my 11th mb, why change n

1980 240D, had some repairable cancer on the fenders and 169,000K. Only 500 bucks, not bad.

Tonight a few hours ago,
Just scored an original Florida, 1981 300CD coupe, for $600.00 cash from original owner with all docs. No rust/rot of any kind. Charcoal Grey, with all options. Tan Leather interior, (Not my fav. interior color) 134k on odometer. Nice car but needs minor things, U.S. Spec. Post pics as soon as I pick it up from prev. owner next week sometime. Nick

Steal a Deal Benz buyers
1987 190E 2.6 Automatic with odometer broken at 189K - we paid $700.00 for her and put $400 in brakes, shocks and valve gasket. Drive her approximately 400 miles a week.
1983 300 Turbo Diesel - $800.00 with 224K miles on her, so far we have put $170.00 into her and have a daily driver that is just as reliable as a 2008 off the line MB.

w123 1979 240d 4speed - $400 including a tow to my house
California car - no substantial rust, straight, paint ok, interior ok but sun cracked. Presentable without any immediate cosmetic work needed. Wasn't running when I bought it, but was previously a daily driver that just started running poorly one day and then wouldn't start. I got it started within a couple hours of getting it home and I have isolated the problem to a faulty primer pump. When the replacement arrives in a couple days, I should be good to go! It was a great find for me because I had been looking for a 240d just like this - crank windows, manual trans. I wanted blue or green for the color, and I got light blue!

Picked up my first Mercedes (2001 E320) with 84K miles for $8200 plus fees = $9300 out the door. Need to replace passenger rear window guide, Outside temp and gear/time doesnt come in all that great. Has command center too.

I bought an 86SL with 69,000 miles in mint condition for $14,500. It had been sitting for some time in a garage undriven....put about 6k worth of work on it with new brakes and rotors, master cylinder, new radio, full performance tune-up, tires, belts. It runs amazing
...and not a weekend goes by where someone doesnt ask me about it.

2 weeks ago bought a white with grey interior 2002 E320 from the dealer with 75K miles on it for 13k out the door, new tires, new A/C, new lower ball joints.
Seemed like a pretty good deal, it was stickered at 17,000. Gorgeous car, I love it, 26-28mpg highway for my commute. Elegant car.

Bought a 1987 300e with 72k on the odometer for $4700. Body and paint are almost flawless and all electrics work except for the cruise control. I needed to replace the tires because of sidewall cracking and am busy replacing tune up parts, filters and fluids.

I bought Bruno the 1981 300SD with 107000 miles on it for $4300.00 in 2006
I bought Rudolf the 1986 300SDL with 280000 miles and all the documentation going back to 1986 for $2300 last January. I feel I stole Rudy as he did not shut down (bad Shut off valve) and I told the owner who had bought him for his wife two months earlier that it was a huge job to fix  The original asking price was $4000! Of course since then I have probably spent the additional $1700Almost bought a 1984 190e 2.3 for $900, but Rudolf was my car of choice.
