Hi,
I just got this car. I paid $200.00 for it, and overall it is in pretty good shape. It has a starting and running issue and the front driver’s window is stuck in the open position. The hazard flashers don't work but the turn signals do. I am researching the forums and threads to gain as much perspective as possible on solving these problems as cost and time efficient as possible. If all goes well this will be my winter transportation.

1973 220D $500. Less than 79k original miles. Pretty obviously accurate. Some rust, could use paint. Windshield seal leaks like crazy. Runs awesome!

Drove it home 6 miles away with accelerator linkage broken and some of it frozen solid. What an experience that was!

1984 190E $200. odometer died at 226k I've spent about $1300 on it in the last 2 years, and it is running incredibly good. Its my first Benz, and I love it.

1993 Mercedes 400e - bought a week ago for $1500 - approx. 160k miles - small p/s fluid leak @ the pump and needed a steering damper - still needs an odometer and alignment - in almost perfect condition inside & out - I got it for a steal - We'll see what other problems arise, lol.

1992 300 SEL, Carat; an Ebay buy 4 months ago, perhaps not a wise one, it blew up on way home while cruising at 60, which speaks volumes for the condition. Still in bits, but I make progress.
So far £1700 ( $2800...?) and rather less than the reserve asked... to date another £300 ( $490 ) in parts, and as of this weekend £550 ( $900 ) in alterations. Not including fuel.
