Lately my 240D has been running better than ever, and frankly I'm scared
![]() ![]() Now I have been noticing a sputtering sound like a hole in the exhaust coming from the passenger floorboard. Almost like a hole in the floorboard is over a hole in the exhaust. The sound increases in volume when going uphill and between 20-50MPH. Beyond 50 mph or on level ground, the sound is not as audible. I recently had a new exhaust put on the car, and it is still solid. There are no holes in the floorboard ![]() Does anyone have an idea on the origin of this sound? Could it be a leaking manifold? Thanks in advance ------------------ William 76 240D (W115) - 550K miles 78 300D (W123) - 200K+ miles |
