I always thought it was a good idea for us Westerners to import our rust free W123 bodies to the East, and/or their drivetrains here. We have a shortage of good engines here, and they (those in the rust belt) have a shortage of good bodies. Speaking for myself, I have 5 W123 bodies without engines/transmissions. I hate to pull all the good parts and send the shells to the crusher, but that is usually what I am forced to do. Of course I take off every usable part first. They usually are cars with collision damage, so I don't feel too bad about sending them to the crusher. However, the two that are next to go don't have damage, so it would be nice to see them imported East to get a transplant and live on.....Rich
