The drivers side front door speaker, and just recently the passenger siide front door speaker are cutting out randomly. Along with one or the other cutting out, I get a hissing noise that increases in pitch as I accelerate and decellerate when one of the speakers is cut out. What the heck is going on here? It seems to only happen when Im playing CD's through the factory 6-disc CD changer..... but it might also be happening when I am using just the radio... ive been too flustered with it to remember wether it happens with just the CD player or not. Somebody help me before my ears fall of and my brain explodes!! LOL

I can sometimes get the speaker thats dead to come back alive by turning the whole stereo sys. off and then on again, and sometiimes but VERY rarely by turning up the volume rather high for a VERY breif second.....

Whats going on in that speaker is that the voice coil has a break in it and is probably rubbing against the magnet structure causing a short from the amplifier to ground causing the whining. Needless to say the speaker needs to be replaced. There is no way to fix the speaker...I would replace it or you could cause damage to the amplifier...
