An extra 30-40 should be pretty easy - plumb an intercooler, tweak the IP, just like Mosselman does with his kits for the 124. Bumping a full 100 gain (to 248hp total) would probably take a lot more work & cost - perhaps needing a bigger turbo as well? Any volunteers to experiment? :p

I'd love to tinker with a OM606 engine to make that kind of power...then transplant it into a 190E of an early nineties C-class...now just have to wait oh about 7-10 years to secure the funding nessisary...

btw, anyone know the kind of transmission used in the W201
It would make a perfect compliment to my OM606

Yeah - that's the story with a lot of people - myself included. To make it worse, his 124 kit fits Euro engines. We would either need to modify it to work with the USA setup, or encourage him to make a USA kit (just needs a different adapter to replace our USA-only EGR mixer housing). In case you forgot, photos of the USA engine and Euro engine are here - note the intake and exhaust manifold routing is TOTALLY different:

Yeah they are very different, it just isn't going to happen unless they get enough people that want them. I would buy one and so would you, how many more people do we need?

I think we'd need about 4 or 5 commited before Mosselman would want to bother. BUT, that would likely be in the $1200-$1500 EUR range, which at current exchange rates, takes us back to the drawing board... now if we could get 10+ people, maybe he'd drop the price significantly, but that's really getting into fantasy land (both finding 10 people to shell out $1k+, and getting Willy to lower the price!)
