I have a '76 300d with a bad transmission. Someone told me that a 123 240d transmission I have sitting in my garage would work in my car. I was pretty skeptical about it, will it work?

the answer is a definate maybe. early 123 cars may have the same tranny. so i would look at the trannys and see if they look alike. then i would get the numbers off them and call someone who sells mb parts and ask them. you didnt say if a stick or auto. guess it doesnt matter, same advice either way.
