300sd location of kickdown solenoid
...defiantly no first gear unless i use the shifter.
can anyone help me locate the kickdown solenoid? i have found the relay as described and that seems to be working but i want to test the solenoid and am unsure where it is. thanks.

found location. another question...
1980 300 sd. i found it and it seems to be working. it clicks when i operate the brake and ohm's out at about 4 ohms. but if i use the shifter for first i have a normal take off and without the shifter i have a sluggish takeoff.
are there any other systems that would be preventing first gear from being used at takeoff? is this a problem in the transmission? thanks.
