Turtle Wax Platinum

Just wanted to keep my MB friends informed that I tried the New Ultra gloss Turtle Wax Platinum Wax on MB and I was flabbergasted what happened...I must say I have never seen a shine like this from a wax. I have tried every known wax on the market...I was skeptical in buying turtle wax Platinum, but at the suggestion of the auto parts worker advice based on ppl elling him what a high gloss they were getting with this wax..just remember follow the directions and I am sure you will be impressed...

I spent about 3 hours today detailing my dented up old 300D. I had never waxed it (owned it for about 3 years now), I just wash it about once a week. But I bought a Mother's Clay bar kit which includes the clay, wax, and detailing spray/lubricant. The car looks awesome and the finish is amazingly smooth. I wasn't too keen on using their wax, but I had nothing else... you should try a clay bar some time followed with a wax job, it's pretty radical.

I've seen this wax advertised and was wondering how it works.

Another good wax is Slipstream. It is airplane wax and lasts a full year. Easy on/off too.

Cheers,

Bill

I went out and bought a bottle of this wax at autozone... $8.29! Also got a foam applicator thing (helped, a LOT) and a drill-mounting buffer wheel. I went and washed the car extremely well, then I came home (it was dry by then) and began waxing it. I left it that way a couple hours then I went ahead and buffed it with the drill buffer. This morning (it was a tad dark when I buffed it) I go out and view it and WOW. Gleaming shiny!! I can see my reflection all over the car! This certainly made my car look better, helps to deter attention from the....flaws...it has. This wax is awesome and I am going to use it forever now. Highly recommended! I will try to post a picture later today when I am home (am at school) but I don't know if it will reveal the true effect....

Hmmmm...think I'll go get some. Cheaper than Slipstream which is $19.99 a can.

Cheers,

Bill

I said I'd take a pic, and here it is, this is one day after a complete washing and waxing with the platinum wax....

pawo...pawo....pawo....dissapointing.

I can't believe you would drive a nice looking benz(especially with the new wax ) with rims looking like that. Ugh....buy some rim cleaner you will LOVE your car evne more than you already do with clean rims.

And after you do that, apply tire foam to your tires, that way you will have shinky black tires surrounding a nice shiny alloy color. Pure sex is all i have to say

Yup, clean the rims and she's all ready for ebay...35 MPG and they go 500k with little or no maintenance.

Looks great. I'll be waxing mine with that wax so I'm ready for winter.

Cheers,

Bill
