Exact metric size of fuel screen threads, not the hex?
Hi-
I'm trying to fabricate a coolant-based fuel tank heater/pickup for my '84 300D. Does anyone know the exact size of the threaded fuel screen that goes into the bottom of the tank? I don't need to know the size of the hex part of it, just the threaded part. Thanks!

Any body have any clue as to where a fitting/bung/flange might be obtained in the US, I've been unable to find anything I could use that has this thread pitch?
