t walgamuth...

Thanks for windshield silicone trick and tips. The plastic picnic knife worked great for cleaning! I finally finished up a few projects and got it outta the shop and headed for the carwash. No leaks even with direct high pressure water blast.

Kinda pricey at 3 bucks a tube and I only used about 20 cents worth! ;-)

Great cheap trick.

this kindof thing is how you can afford to run a twenty plus year old car that is not worth enough to restore properly.

no future in over spending.

thanks for the thanks

Yeah, a link to that tip would be nice.

Although, I already used sillicone caulk around the front window seal where it looked like it would be letting in water. I WILL replace with a proper seal after I get a repaint, but this year it is going to have to go as is.

...And since we're stokin' Tom's ego in this thread, I'd like to say thanks for the replacement seat belt catches, they work perfectly!

you're welcome.

even when installing a new seal, it is a good idea to seal with silicone. on my sec after two years on a new seal it leaked. i had told the installer to caulk it but i bet he didnt. so i did.

i would do a link but i am too ignorant of these new fangled computer thingies that i dont know how.
