Ga$ is down, diesel up

Two weeks ago diesel in Houston was cheaper than regular, now premium is less than diesel as prices for gas are dropping.
Call it free market economy, for the life of me do not understand how all this works.

The refineries have almost caught back up with diesel supply demands and are starting to refocus on gas proiduction.

Cheapest diesel in my area: $3.29

Cheapest gas: $2.85

An article in our paper yesterday said they are going statewide (as of yesterday) with the ULSD so that is what has increased our prices. It has been on sale in select areas but now we are all converted I guess.

I have been buying B99 for $3.32, at only 3 extra cents a gallon I figure it is worth it. I wish I could be complaining about $2.69 a gallon but I doubt I'll see that ever again

Wow, for the longest time we had nearly the lowest prices in the nation here in NE Okla. We have now slipped way behind, as RUG is 2.529 and #2 is still 2.849. With a 32-cent delta, that is over 10% in the wrong direction. Winter may be tough this year!!

cheapest diesel here is $3.19 at the chevron in SSF. filled up there today, but ive noticed my MPG's have dropped with this new ULSD. Ive been running on ULSD for the past 2 months in my 300D. I add a quart of veggie oil and a little bit of powerservice grey bottle at every fill up.

My mpg's were better with the LSD. this sucks! i need to start making some more biodiesel! diesel is too expensive.

it's 2.99/gallon here, but i can still go an entire week of driving on $12 or so... so i'm not complaining. by comparison, my friend puts $25 a week in his accord and my other friend puts upward$ of $50 in his truck. ouch.

Elections are in november. Oil companies cant afford to have their republican backers lose. Think Stevens. God I want to get my hands around that guys neck. He is the Alaskan senator that shot down the Obama " transparency bill"

Naturally. And some folks are so short sighted that 2 months of *slightly* lower gas prices will make them forget about what was done to them the rest of the year in fuel prices. They''l say, "Wow! Gas is less than $3/gallon!! Things are looking up!!" One year ago I was paying $2.36/gallon for premium gas - I have not forgotten... I have the receipts...

And wait until you see what interest rates do over the next 24 months, too. The 'publicans wouldn't want high interest rates when they're running for the big oval office...
