I think you are under a very large assumption that this car has an aftermarket actuator or solenoid. If by some strange twist of fate it, in fact, has an actuator then yes, put power and ground to the wires you see. My gut feeling is its only a pin switch that completes a circuit once the lid is opened without use of the key and the horn or siren sounds off.

carnut - I do not think your fully reading my posts. I am saying it appears to be from the FACTORY alarm, not aftermarket.
If you did not know this already, here you go - if the vacuum lines were completly broken, I still should be able to open the trunk with my master key. I can not do this. The vacuum lines do work as well. Still, there is something keeping me from unlocking the trunk. The trunk "button" pushes in and out freely, but will not pop the trunk. No matter what is done. There is something else on the car that is keeping me from being able to push the button to pop the trunk. From other research I have done, this is usually because a FACTORY alarm is keeping the trunk button to resist and pop the trunk. So im looking for a way to disable the factory alarm so I can gain access to the trunk. |

The service manual shows factory anti-theft alarm only from 1984 on. I just looked at the 126 manual.
The EPC shows factory alarm only from 1984 on, also. The EPC for the 116 300SD shows NO alarm from the factory. FWIW Looks like a bum lock pawl/latch to me. The factory alarm is a black box (not perfectly rectangular) that usually says "Becker" on it somewhere. It's #104 in the picture, if the numbers come out legibly.
