Quick wagon (TD) question for you early birds (Thursday morning)

I have a friend that dropped a set of newly painted and re-bushinged rear trailing arms from a sedan. He is bringing his wagon, and we are going to install the rebuilt arms in his car. The big question is: Are wagon trailing arms different than sedan arms? Neither him or I thought about this until late last night when he called me to set up the appointment for today. The arms are ready to go, but will they work with the SLS units? I/we need to know, otherwise we will be pulling the new bushings out of the rebuilt arms, and cleaning and painting the old arms before installing them (something neither of us want to do!). Thanks, Rich

w123, right?

Answer should be yes (based on info on this board, not on actual experience).

Yes a W123. Are you saying that yes they are the same, or yes they are different?

The only difference in the rear suspensions between the sedans and wagons are the calipers and the actuators/shocks.

Thanks!

Thank you all, that answers my question. The wagon will be in my driveway in a few minutes, and we will be happy that we can use the arms that have been rebuilt. The wagon in question has almost 500,000 miles on it, so the arms (bushings especially) need to be replaced!

According to startek they are the same as long as both of the cars are either before september 1979 or after 1979. They modified the shaft flange in 79 and moved the retaining washer and contact surface by 5MM.

Sounds fun. I just picked up an old TD that I fell in love with. Its got 318K I got it from the first owner and overall it was taken care, rust proofed so no underbody rust, just the fender and quarters. runs and drives great but changed the pads in the rear and the caliper is hanging. New ones should be here tonight.
