All three of my diesels are male.

Some obvious reasons as to why:

1. the block heater cords which are "male" protrude from the bottom of the front apron.

2. they aren't afraid of a little flatulence now and then.

3. they have gruff sounding idles with baritone voices at higher rpms.

My 300SE and E420 were definitely female.

community has some bad seeds?

wow, this forumn has some haters. Turn your station if you don't like the content.....or better yet don't respond.

This is a community dog... and it has value in members expressing thoughts freely, but sleep on it if this post pisses you off so much. There will be others you can offer your insight to, such as which oil should I use, or what is the ALDA?

BTW.

My diesel has the characteristics of a male. Dirty on the inside, has bad odors, it is strong, a little heavy, but not that fast.

His name is Baron von Schuppen. He's a dick sometimes. He thinks his status as a Baron has weight with me, but I just ignore him. He is male: Works hard, doesn't complain about the load I'm giving him, and always gets the job done (whether he gets dirty or not!). Another question could be: is your car a dog or a cat. Mine would be a dog. I'm guessing the majority of males would be labeled dogs and females, cats...

Personifying machinery is fun! Still, I hate to think machines have minds of there own!.......*Twilight Zone theme plays is the background*

Oh, definately cat. But not the cattiest of cats, because Bodhi is quite the loyal old fella, and some cats ... not so much. But he's more of an independent animal and likes to trick me and keep me on my toes. Sometimes he's just a flat-out brat. But, like my cat, no matter what he does, I just can't stay mad at him. Now, two things un-catlike about my car: He doesn't keep himself clean and I think it would really hurt if he tried to climb on my lap.

It's always kind of funny to me that people assume all cats are girls and dogs are boys. People constantly see my cat and say "oh, she's so pretty!" Not that he cares, but I know I always shoot them an insulted look as I say "HE!" Cats are really a lot like guys ... they have a hard time reading your feelings (and often don't realize they're supposed to try), they want your affection at the wrong time (4 a.m.?!), they don't come home all night and then expect a bowl full of food to be waiting for them ... but at the same time, they like to pretend they're independant and can do everything for themselves. Dogs, like us women, are needy and demand that you CONSTANTLY tell them how great they are.

This is a very interesting dichotomy to me. I know a lot of males who I would classify as cats and a lot of women who I would classify as dogs. I would never make mention of this to these people. I don't want to get punched/slapped in the face...... Just kidding, they wouldn't do that.....

Hmm, now I never thought of cats and dogs as "always" male or female, horses? yes, dogs and cats? nope, I usually call dogs "she" because my family always raised Samoyed's and the girls are more lucrative... but it's just a reflex. with horses I always feel they are feminine. cars too. unless it's just a obvious male car... 57 chevy, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Corvette, etc. other cars have personalities, and I get a feel for weather or not they are male or female. most vans I classify as female. not sure why though. with sedans, it's dependent on their personality. I have a parts car that is certainly male, two drivers that are female, and a suburban that is male... a horse to be sure, but still male.

My 300D is currently a DEAD DUCK, gender unknown, currently undergoing an autopsy and later to become a Frankenstein with parts coming from other dead MB's. So I guess mine is a male if it becomes a Frankenstein.

Geez dude! There is cleverness in subtly. I'm assuming you thought that was clever. Lame, very lame.....

And here's where the delightful, non-threatening thread dies a sudden tragic death

And Aklim, just go park yourself back at Benzworld if you don't like it over here. Or if a thread seems dumb to you, leave it alone. We have obviously had fun with this, and enjoyed "most" of the posts.
Complain, complain, complain........
Go find a good generic oil thread for your serious reading.
Thought it might be funny but humor is subjective, isn't it?

Are you addressing me or Janko?

No, I believe it started to die once Aklim posted his bullying, dismissive commentary on how ridiculous this whole thread is and how silly it is for us to discuss it....... I hope you are NOT doing the same.......

Keep posting, this thread fascinates me....
