I just talked to my astrologist and she suggested that I needed Saturn's rings for my pistons. I may have misunderstood her since her mobile phone was breaking up. I think she was chasing some Klingons circling Uranus.

Next time wipe the bore well, plus the surrounding sump. That should eliminate a fouled ring.

parts made from unobtainium are usually only used in hi rpm engines and probably would not even fit at 3000 rpm. My $ .02 Don

What if I installed a second engine? Wouldn't that allow me to go 6000 RPM's?

Gas and diesel engines turn at the same speed at 3000RPM.

Now turbine engines spin faster than either diesels or gassers at 3000 RPM because they do not have pistons. Any engineer can tell you that

As for the 710 cap that is a valuable German only issue part. Count yourself lucky that you got one from the dealer. I tried to get on on eBay, but was out bid!

I don't think this one was made in Germany. It had cross threads. If you are interested in it, I would like to trade it for a windshield stretcher.

All kidding aside, 3000rpm is 3000rpm no matter the engine.

Actually I'm trying to re-coop from some oral surgery I had yesterday. I was wanting to be sedated earlier as quoted in a song by Joey Ramone.
Now, I'm actually comfortably numb as a quote from a famous Pink Floyd song.

I have a slightly used windshield stretcher I can give you. I used it to stretch a MGB windshield to fit the BMW. It worked because they both had three letter names.

I also have an air vent degreaser if you want it.
I will trade them for the 710 cap if you uncross the threads.

Now I must go rejoin my life such as it is...
