I've never driven my MB's daily, but have been working out of China this week. I am loving driving this thing all day. 240's do fine in traffic. The issues with their slowness have been over-drama'd I think. 26.7mpg last tank, with AC.

My 83 300SD has 344,000 miles, runs real strong, is a daily driver and since I travel 85% for work it quite often gets 1,000 miles per week stuffed onto the odometer. Can't see driving anything else....even in the winter.

I'm 56 so I guess I qualify as an "old" diesel driver. Only drive about 12 miles to work daily and in good weather ride the Harley. For my part time job bartending/manager/karaoke host, it's only about 2 miles from home but I drive the 300CD for that.

40-50 miles per day in the 82 300SD. I think old Bobalina Fitzgerald gets stronger every day I drive her. My 11 year old named her that one day...We laughed and the name stuck. She only has 120K on her so I hope to be driving her for many more daily drives.

85 SD wife drives it daily & it's our road car. Odometer stopped at 240 & I haven't gottenaround to fixing it. My daily is 2000 diesel ram or 78 Datsun 280Z. All do different things & I love them all.

54 miles round trip. 269k and counting with Alex. I also have been known to take these on 3k road trips, not to mention various 4-5 hour drives to GTG's.
