'85 300sd & '84 300sd

Use both the '84 and '85 300SD for commutes to MD from TN and back.

just resurrected the '84 with another transmission. was going to get rid of it but decided to give it another life!

'85 has 260K and the '84 has 214K. i've put 80K on the '85 and '54K on the '84 since 2005

my 300d reporting for duty!

Just put my first 100,000 miles on it last week, bought it 5 years ago at 234k. I gave it 4 new Bilsteins, rear brakes and an air filter bracket to get it ready for the next 100,000.

My commute is now 650 miles per week, new job requires it.

It's the least trouble-free car I have ever had. period. Except for the A/C.

Talking 1981 300SD "Daily" Driver

I resurrected my '81 late last year after it had been sitting idle (needed new turbo) for about 4 years. Drive it roughly 300-500 miles per week.

Both of our Benzs are daily drivers. I do about 20,0000 miles per yer. My son is up in the Midwest running his 85 with 330,000 miles all over the place. Got to love it!

I know I've posted on this thread before......however, I have a new daily driver --- Coda ---- yes, she has a (mostly) silver exterior. I drive about 12,000 miles a year. Coda has 198,000+ miles on her and counting....
