My 87 300 SDL is my daily driver (when I drive daily) but it still gets about 500 miles a week. I'm averaging 21K miles a year for the two years I've had it, with 14K miles on B100. My 86 is still getting an engine put in it. (I think I'm making a career out of it.....)
The F-350 only gets a few thousand a year now...

I drive my F-150 as a work truck daily, but since I'm going to be unemployed by the end of the month {} who knows what my driving habits will turn in to. I do use them in the evenings and on weekends exclusively. I find I drive the Squash the least since it has a car cover on it. It is a pain to take it off.....
I would never feel comfortable using one of these as a daily driver without another one for back up. Too many things "pop up" unexpectedly......

I sometimes feel I’m the only long-distance daily driver, it’s good to see others doing 50 or 60 miles per day.

64 miles per day commute for me.

I consider mine an "every other day" daily driver. '83 300SD shares the weekly grind with a 1983 Porsche 944.

30 miles a day every day and on weekends

Thought about only using the car on weekends to "preserve it", but really enjoy driving it, and I figure at the current mileage rate, I have several more years to enjoy this car.

You need to drive it to preserve it. Unless you let it get rusty or drive into a large object it will last indefinitely. Just drive it and maintain it properly.

Ditto that!

Letting an automobile sit in the garage, barn, on the driveway or wherever, is the quickest way to 'chronic' problems - IMHO!

And oh yeah, mine is driven several times a week. I am a contractor and have a work van that I drive daily.... When I need to go somewhere in the evening though, I usually drive it - unless the fuel is low - then I drive the wife's Accord!

300SD & 240D (4 speed)

I have driven the 300SD 50K in the past three years. Trips to Calif., Maine, and back and forth to Austin, TX from my current home in Central Fla. Plus a 45 mile round trip commute.

The 240D is the weekend car

present.. but i dont think i'm old.. heehhe. 31yrs old.. but my car a 79 300TD is my daily driver. 7 days a week. The car is outside the garage mostly from 6am - 6pm, but not on the road all the time.

this is maybe due to the fact that i dont have any other car that i can use.

Can I chime in?

Although she's a 124 and not in the original request posted...

My primary transport is my 1987 300TD... was bought for that purpose. She also tows my dinghy catamaran and hauls sails and sailing equipment around.
