Give Chad some organic beef (versus the tainted california cows) and he'll probably come over and pop those LED's in for you.

That's an easy job, especially since the cluster is out. Now's the time to clean the light tunnels and prisms, and use some silver tape to seal the light leaks.

I'm waiting to find a good deal on a pair of w126 reading lights to install in the pillar between the back door and quarter window. Even with the LED festoon bulbs in the domes, there is a big dark area in the back seat. The reading lights will fill that area nicely, especially when wired in to the switch for the door.

Lunchmeat - I just remembered, I forgot to answer your question on other post (in another place)......and my beef mention resurrected it from my fleeting mind.

Yes, I buy my beef in 1/4 quarters (balanced front/rear half) and I usually split a pig in half with somebody.....although I may get a whole one next time. The farmer's name is Leroy Miller - and unfornately, he's an Amishman that doesn't have a website or phone to give out I could let you know next time he's putting an order together (it's seasonal).....but it would mean driving up to Lancaster to get it. I'm sure there are probably other farmers closer to you that would be willing to do this?

Sorry, that was quite a hijack.....good luck with the LED's. I suppose it's worthwhile to check out the condition of the vac pods too when you're in there? I've never had my cluster/dash apart yet but it doesn't sound pleasant.

The stuff that you need to take apart to get to the bulbs is no big deal. It's not like taking the whole dash out. You can replace all of them in less than a half hour. An hour if you haven't done it before.

Ahh, gotcha. I've read the horror stories but never really thought about it much.

Have you had your whole dash out to get at the HVAC guts? Thankfully, the simple 240D hasn't caused me any problems yet.

No. I'm trying to get used to no air-conditioning. I may have to get in there this summer.

Sorry for the highjacking that's happened here Lunchmeat. I believe tangofox007 answered your original question a while back.
