The dealer's plan is to also sell you all the scheduled services that are due when you come in for an oil change, maybe an extra that's not needed but suggested. They will cover the oil change cost with the other services. Probably a break even deal for the customer but a good selling point for the dealer.

Yeah and most people probably go for it, but were not. A 30k mile service on that car is like an air filter. New cars really don't need much.
