a deep 27 mm or 1-1/16 inch

take a measurement of the depth, many deep sockets won't be deep enough

Not all deep 27mm sockets will work, as some will require "modification" to clear the return line nipples. You will need a fairly thin walled socket or one manufactured with the relief areas.

I got the cheap (Not Duralast) 1-1/16th at Autozone. Works fine, less than 10 bucks.

I hate admitting it. But the deep socket set from HF has succeeded all its expected tasks thus far.

I was in a bind. really.

Harbor Freight gets a bad rap. Is their stuff suitable for a professional mechanic? No, but it's better than a butter knife and a pair of pliers, which used to be my toolkit of choice.

Their "Pittsburg" line of tools aren't too bad, especially the sockets.

Keep an eye posted on ebay. Plenty of used tools or new for our MB's. I picked up the Hazlett 27MM injector socket for less then 15.00 shipped to my door.

HF is crap. at least when you twist the end off your butterknife, you just grab another. what about when you split your cheeeeep chinee crapppy socket down the side and you cant get your lugnut off on the side of the road at 3 AM and the only place around is the bates motel.......

I got the crapsman one for injectors, works fine. a box wrench works, too, if you remove the VC.

The HF I am referring to is the impact socket set (deep). It has not been under any severe stress since I bought it primarily for turning the crank, messing with injectors..etc.

I agree that they would not hold up under heavy shop use on air tools. But they will not break with manual use by any means.

HF has those extra thick reinforced walls on their sockets for that extra brute strength.

as long as we are in the injector area, I use a crows foot flair nut wrench to loosen the fuel line nuts. works great.

casi todos de los sockets non sera suficiente en profundo. Marca con regla il largo de injector y compra con el socket prima de comprarlo.

27 mm o 1-1/16 inches

wow do you guys weld your injectors in?
A HF impact socket using hand tools will never give you a issue.
never broke a HF impact socket yet but I have broke plenty of craftsman...

I would rather buy 3 sets of tools, lose 1 set to breaking and another from the tool gremlins stealing stuff and still have one set left of HF.

and when they have sales, $10 goes very far in buying many many many sockets instead of half of one that a Mercedes tech used, loopty doo.

Then again I did take a motor out of a 25yr old rusty VW primarily using Air impact and Ryobi impact drill and put it all back together the same way using all HF, had to bust out the torch to break stuff free.

To each their own, I will take my chinese "crap" as it is not my living.
