My 124 has genuine Bosch euro lights, ebay clear corners (because I couldn't find a decent price on a pair of real ones), 16" 500E 8-hole wheels, and 225/50 Michelin Pilot Exalto all season performance rubber.

Next up I think will be the 94-95 style tail lights with the clear turn signal lenses, and real Bosch clear corners if I can find a good price.

See sig for pic!

Muahahaha

I hope that by oil burners you mean diesel.

At this point all I can do is talk about it, because the projects been put on hold since January. BUT, my 300SD will under go some fairly heavy modification. I am a man of detail, so I won't bore you with the details, I'll just list the mods I'll be hopefully attempting soon.

Body

Shaved Doorhandles
shaved moldings and rear bumper
modified euro front bumper
full front and rear roll pan

Interior

Audi 5000 8 way heated power seats
custom built rear seat/subwoofer enclosure (subtle)
modified center console
wood trim painted
custom LED lighting red/white
Speakers added to doors

Electrical

Keyless entry, alarm, and start.
battery relocated to trunk
custom converted Class I LED tail lights.

Suspension

possibly airbags

lots of work...pretty ricy, but I'm kinda heading towards a dark imposing direction, much like 'The Car' from the same titled movie.

- Chrome exhaust tip

Interior:
- More wood trim in 3.2 AMG style
- AutoPC installation for Voice recognition and integrated GPS into the headunit
- Integrated iPod into armrest link
- Euro style Velour door panels
- Keyless Entry
- Wooden shifter knob (in the next week or so)
Wow, I never even thought about bundts on a 201. I like it, they go well with the silver body. I have a wood shift knob that I scored at the Pick N pull. One of these days I'll install it.

Oh yeah, I updated my headlights : updated headlights on my '86 201

Only a few basic mods for my 123 wagon

I have mostly done restorations to OE, such as

- rebuilt SLS suspension (really cool feature of wagons);
- rebuilt suspension (bushings, ball joints, sub-frame mounts, everything...);
- new flex joints and drive shaft support bearing;
- oil cooler lines, belts, PS pump seals, valve adjust, .....
- etc., etc., etc.

Mods include -

stereo system:
- Pioneer head unit
- 4" mb quart midrange in dash, tweeters on front doors just forward of door handles
- 6" mb quart woofers in rear doors in place of ash trays
- 4" boston acoustics in rear OE location
- two amps in space under rear (wagon) cargo area
- xm radio
- jack for ipod

3 OE Head rests in rear seat (I got the brackets and upholstery grommets from a wagon with 3rd seat at bone yard)

Euro headlights with vacuum tilt (I rigged up a couple of 3-way vacuum valves with a window switch in place of OE stereo fader to run the headlight tilt)

Non-OE halogen backup lights

Stainless exhaust

Hella goose neck map light

120 amp alternator (going in this next week)

Rebuilt entire AC system, with new aftermarket parallel flow condenser, charged with R134 - doesn't blow snow, but get center vent temp. down to 45F when humid and high 90's outside.

Removed EGR with Brian Carlton's kit

K&N Air Filter

Volt meter and 12 v sockets in place of front ash tray

Next year:

Valve job, body work, some kind of dome light over rear seats (in wagon, dome light is way in back)

I'm going to install w126 reading lights in the "C" pillars and link them into the wiring for the rear dome light.

My 280e autocrosser: lowering springs removal of non essential elements to reduce weitht, limited slip diff.

My 82 300cd: stick conversion: four speed and two forty fw.

My 83 240d: 300d euro na motor, five speed tranny, 307 diff. removal of right side mirror to reduce wind resistance.

I have converted a 115 two forty to 300 power too but its long gone.

Since buying my 1983 300D in Nov '08, I've picked up a couple things over the winter:

Chrome cowl vents
16" Ronal R9's
French Style Euros
W123 Mud flap set (latch on, not drill and screw)

Now I just have to wait until it warms up to get working on installing this stuff. Still need a new stereo and speakers, wood shift knob, wood or sport steering wheel, euro bumpers, and some Cibie Oscar rally lights. Add that to the already tinted windows and I think I'll be done. Unless I run into some lowering springs, I think. Or maybe a lift kit!

If you suck at actual mechanical upgrades that actually benefit performance, you might as well look really good driving around clueless.

The MBMCC BOD has met and discussed at length all the posted modifications and while there was a lively discussion and many a cold beverage downed, it was finally determined that all the posted modifications have met the minimum standards and all persons and vehicles are heretoforth official members of the MBMCC pending the delivery of the certified seal to consecrate the members list. You may now kiss your Mercedes but please do not do so if it is outside and it's below freezing- no tongues stuck to frozen MB metal will be considered for membership (however if you this have your significant other or neighbor take and post pics please and we'll start another club with a name of lesser standing).

I'm kinda' late to the party and don't have much to offer, but here goes...

I've installed a new, smaller, wood steering wheel, reversed the operation of the sunroof switch, and installed a mount for my XM radio and a TomTom Go720 GPS with bluetooth hands-free phone operation and a MP3 player with a radio transmitter. Those are the only "mods" I've done so far.

In the works are pillar mounted boost and EGT gauges, boost controller, straight pipe with glasspack, possibly a different kind of cold air intake, a trunk mounted CD changer, and rear air shocks.

Although I haven't done much in the way of mods yet, I've done numerous restorative repairs. Re-glued the vinyl covering onto the rear interior panels, fixed the sunroof, replaced the antenna, installed a coverlay dash-cap, replaced the tach sensor, filters, and replaced a blown engine.

Eventually
-Tachometer
-Headrests
-Euro lights
-Trailer hitch
