Agreed. If it is an attached garage, even putting an exhaust hose out the garage door would be risky. If it vibrated loose and fell off, you might never wake up. HOWEVER, if it is an attached garage, leave the door into the garage from the house open, and maybe even set up a small fan to blow warm air from the house into the garage. It will stay plenty warm enough for the car to start.
No I wouldn't leave mine running anywhere. The first place I wouldn't leave it running is in a garage. That's how people end up dead!
