possible head gasket problem between #2 and #3 ??
Has the car gotten hot ? maybe loose head bolts ? 1 and 4 are to good I wouldnt think 2 and 3 would wear out faster . Seems as if it will be something common to the two. .

***Good possibility however you should put a teaspoon of oil (or MMO) into each cylinder and do a compression test again. --If the numbers dramatically get better then I think you might need new rings (i.e. an engine rebuild). Also, you should be able to start the car now that it has compression. --IF the numbers DO NOT improve after putting in a teaspoon of oil directly into the combustion chamber, then you have a burnt valve. If this is the case, it is most likely the exhause valve. FYI, this happens because the valves were not adjusted for a while and the clearance (especially the exhaust valve) tightened so much that it was open during combustion. The heat screwed up the weakest part of the valve (the 'bend'). Do this and report back.... this forum can fix anything!

She's alive!
Lesson Learned for all those that may have experienced the same thing I did. I had pretty much given up on this car and was making plans to get rid of her when I thought I'd try one last thing. 1. I removed all the glow plugs. 2. I cracked all the lines leading up to each injector. 3. I opened up the throttle wide open. 4. Cranked the engine to see if fuel was indeed coming out of injectors (they were with some bubbles). 5. Put everything back together. 6. Performed normal starting procedure and then she came to life! It appears that even though I was using the priming pump thinking that I was purging the system, there was infact air in the injection lines and or injection pump. The problem was air in the system all along. Anyway, I thought I would just pass thing along to all other member just in case this happens to them. |
