... and I think it had been more than 10 years since my brake pads had been changed ...

thanks guys. put the new pads on today. these cars are sure easy to work on the brakes. it took me about an hour and was no problem.
best advice: put a new pad in then pry the other used one over off the rotor.
drove to Staples for a test drive and they worked without grinding, lights on on the dash, etc.

123 Replacement brake pads

Anyone have any strong opinions on replacement pads for 123 300D TD on the front? I see dozens of variations - only one with longer than 12k warantee is an "organic" composition with 3 yr 50k warantee I'm blocking on the brand.
