Just curious: Why that specific color choice for the engine?

Looks like you're going to beat me to the swap. I'm planning on starting in 2 weeks.

Looking good, as long as you have the engine bay open, check under the motor mounts around the bolt holes.
when I pulled my eng the first time after the timing chain fiasco, I discovered that under and around the bolt holes it was cracked around all 4 holes. had a welder come over and we made some plates to fix the problem. wish I had a digital camera back then to post them. Charlie

Apparently it's the season to be doing engine swaps.
Mine's out right now as well, and the "new" one is sitting beside it waiting patiently on hold while some additional steering parts are in route. I'd not thought about using a light color paint on the engine block before, but that does make a lot of sense.

Looks like it is coming along pretty well. Did you get the driveshaft etc. worked out?
