The problem is not hoarding, you just dont have a big enough shed !!!
Or just rent the local abandoned wall-mart building.

On my 83, I put rims from a 2nd gen w126 and had to install lower profile tires to maintain speedo calibration. And as a result, the wear on the outside of the tires is more severe than the inside. I'm going to go add 5lbs into each tire right now. Be back in a bit.
if you are getting wear on one side or the other, suspension components are out of whack... if it's BOTH sides, then it's tire pressure...
IF outside diameter is same as O.E. Tire, then wheel size makes no difference in tire wear... unless Width is changed... width increase can change steering geometry, and result in wear.

As with any powered cleaned device my first worry is with it damaging the paint/finish on the wheels WHEN brake dust or dirt gets into the cloth.

Anybody know what they fit?

I think they'd look cool on my freshened 85 SD.
