Anyone on the Forum Rebuilding Injectors

I know that C. Sean Watts and bgkast were rebuilding injectors, but it looks like neither of them have been online in a while. Is there anyone else out there currently rebuilding injectors or selling new ones? I'm having a difficult time finding Monarks. Thanks

If you can't get anyone here on DD to do them for you, you can take a look at these guys -

DBW LLC | TDI Engines and Fuel Systems

Gent that goes by the handle of "drivbiwire" over on tdiclub. His work is highly praised by the VW crowd.

I inquired if he could do the injectors for my 87 300D. He replied no problem, had all the necessary parts in stock including brand new Bosio nozzles. A complete rebuild with new nozzles, ultrasonic cleaning, digital pressure testing, anticorrosive coating applied to the injectors, and a new set of heat shields thrown in was quoted as around $80 per injector, with a one to two day turnaround.

Hello,

I rebuild injectors for the OM617.9XX engine. $50.00 plus $10 shipping back to you. Your injectors will look like new and will be balanced +/-50 PSI. If you have new nozzles, send them to me also. I have a thread on SuperTurboDiesel.com and check out a few prior customer comments. Thanks.

Yes, Sean told me he was temporarily out of the business, for one reason or another. I contact him every month or so and still out of business. I tried last the first week of March and he indicated that he had an injury and some family emergency issues. BUT, he is the BEST price in town when it comes to injector nozzles.

Apparently for several months the Monark Injector Nozzles were not being made or sold to the Rebuilders.
So that would have crippled their efforts.

Also another parts seller is supposed to be the distributor of the Monark Nozzles and I guess had priority over the other rebuilders.

For the 240D if C Sean Watts has the Monark Injector Nozzles (or the new Injectors He sells) they are made in Germany and cost less then the Stock Bosch or Bossio Nozzles that are the other choices.

The stock Bosch Nozzles are made in India, cost more and do not have a record of longevity.

From the various sets that I have rebuilt and from customer feedback, I think the overall winner would be the Bosio's. However, I have no scientific data to say one brand is somehow better than the other. I can say from doing a bunch of sets, balanced and cleaned injectors perform significantly better than unbalanced sets, even if they "pee" a little. The "pee" is indicative that the nozzles are worn and that can only be fixed by replacement. Bosios are very expensive, about twice that of the Monarks. I have used the Bosch's and their spray pattern looks just like Monark's; however, the Bosio spray pattern is slightly different. I can only assume that slight difference in spray pattern explains the percieved performance of the Bosios vs. the others. I personally like the Elsbetts, but that is because I burn WVO. I don't know if Elsbett is still around or not. I know I got an email indicating they went out of business or changed names or something along those lines. I do receive periodic emails from Alex Noac (sic) who was my contact with Elsbett prior to 2011 under a different company name.

does the injector rebuilding process affect the amount of fuel available to burn, or only the diffusion in the prechamber and therefore the quality of the burn? is this a prerequisite or totally orthogonal to the performance goal of increasing available fuel?

I guess the next question is: Does anyone know where I can source Monark or Bosio nozzles??

Does anyone have any experience with http://mercedesautoworks.com?
