StarTek for mac

Hi
The StarTek page says they do not formally support mac computers ... but, it seems to infer that acrobat reader will work with the site using mac.

Anybody have solid information about this question>
??
Thx

It is web based, so "in theory" it should work on any OS. That said, sometimes software developers do wonky non-standard things that make it work only on one OS, but not on another. Or work only in one web browser but not in another. Those software developers should be taken out back, and kicked repeatedly in the nuts, and then kicked some more. But that's another topic.

Yes the PDF's should be readable on any OS. But without the web interface, how will you find the one drawing you're looking for? The nice thing about StarTek is you just type in your VIN and all the stuff specific to your car comes up.
Worst case scenario, just install VirtualBox on your Mac (it's free) and buy a Windows license key from ebay for $5 and you now have everything you need. I can confirm it runs perfectly from within VirtualBox...

Oracle VM VirtualBox - Downloads | Oracle Technology Network | Oracle

Another potential solution that does not require Windows, may be via Codeweavers Crossover. It's not free, but they offer a free trial period, so you can download it and test it out on your Mac to make sure it works before buying:

Either way, please report back with whatever you end up doing, as I'm sure other Mac users will be interested in your findings.

Startek works fine on the Mac. Use Safari , Chrome, or Firefox, your pick. Most of the pages were written for Internet Exploder 5.0 back in Windoze 98/Win2K era when web developers were lazy and didn't feel like writing to coding standards. Make sure Flash is up to date, and override security warnings if it presents any. It'll work with the built-in PDF viewer and/or Preview.

Is there an original FSM for the w126 which uses photos from the w126 and not the w123?

Years ago I wanted to sign up with StarTek, but did not have a credit card. I also didn't have a PC, so I gave up. If it does work with a Mac like you say Diseasel300, then maybe I will sign up (I have a credit card now).......Rich
