I think the only cheap way to do it is to build it yourself. I believe some use a bottle jack as the pressure producing device.
But I called a local diesel injection company today, and they only want $2 per injector to pop test them if I remove them from the car. I could not believe it. It is $50 per injector to take them apart and clean them. And then it would obviously cost more if replacement parts are needed. In general, prices in my area are higher than typical. Anyway if all you want is to pop test them, maybe it would be cheapest to pay someone else to do it. (later edit) The more I think about it, the more I wonder if I misheard the guy regarding the price of pop testing. Maybe he said $10, when I heard $2. Anyway, I wanted to be sure I didn't mislead anyone. Last edited by Shortsguy1; 07-11-2012 at 01:09 AM. Reason: perhaps I made a mistake |

Lately even the used ones on eBay have gotten expensive. Some people have made their own; mostly out of Hydraulic Jacks. Repair Links http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/forumdisplay.php?f=82 http://www.peachparts.com/Wikka/DoItYourSelf
