Some Valve Grinding compound on the bit will help it bite into the head of the bolt.
There is always something that gets over looked when pulling the engine. I was pulling the Diesel engine out of my Datsun PU, checked every thing, even double checked. when lifting it, the tail shaft of the trans kept swinging to the right hitting the inside the hump and not tilting so I could lift it. Finally noticed I forgot to remove the throttle cable from the Firewall to the engine, and stretched it. No problem, get one from the dealer.....it`s NLA. Charlie

A easy way to turn a bolt with a rounded out 8mm Allen head, is to hit a #10 12 point, or XZN socket in the rounded out hole.
The tool used for 603 head bolts. Works every time. I know, not every body has one. On a different note. The 8mm bolt in the engine mount is actually a 10mm bolt with a 8mm socket head. The two 6mm bolts that hold the engine mount to the frame are actually 8mm bolts with 6mm socket heads. The 10mm nuts on the engine shocks are actually 6mm nuts. The two 13mm bolts on the trans mount are actually 8mm bolts with a 13mm hex head. The 17mm bolts that hold the rear mounting plate to the frame are actually 10mm bolts with 17mm hex heads. The 19mm nut on the trans mount is actually a 12mm nut. Sorry, sometimes I like to be a smart ass. Bolt and nut sizes are given by the diameter of the thread. Here are some common sizes for German metric bolts and nuts: M5, 5mm thread, 8mm hex, 4mm Allen. M6, 6mm thread, 10mm hex, 5mm Allen. M8, 8mm thread, 13mm hex, 6mm Allen. M10, 10mm thread, 17mm hex, 8mm Allen. M12, 12mm thread, 19mm hex, 10mm Allen.
