Picture of the quilted stuff
I used the quilted fiberglass from McMaster-Carr. Just finished it last night and took a picture today. Made a big difference in the sound in that the hood sounds solid when you close it now. No more cheap tin sound like you hear on a rice burner just a nice solid thunk. Also when running just has that nice benz diesel rythem, not metalic sounding as before when the hood had no padding.
