I use Mobil 5-40 Turbo Diesel Truck full synthetic in my 1972 220D and she loves it.

You're going to need to do a real diesel purge, not just add stuff to the tank.

Just get a few cans of diesel purge and use that for a good purge. You could also use marvel mystery oil, since the main bulk of that product is naptha, same as diesel purge. I've done MMO purges and the car likes it.

If you want to clean out the secondary tank, add some regular diesel and kerosene.

Now that it's the dead of winter you're going to be hard pressed to find biodiesel but a few tanks of B30 or greater bio rating, would do wonders for cleaning all that grease garbage out of your system. Fill it up then drive it like you stole it for a while.

Make sure to do a valve adjustment regardless of the fuel you run to clean out your grease. After a diesel purge on a greasecar, you're going to have burned out a lot of crap and your valves will all be tighter than they already are.

Carry a few extra sets of fuel filters, you'll need them.

Good luck.
