Nailing after injector seal change

Due to severe leaking on my 350SDL, I replaced the o ring and copper washers in the injector delivery fittings. Afterwards, there is nailing on all cylinders which was not present before. The only things removed to facilitate the R&R was the nozzle that holds the o ring and the spring to remove the washer.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

How many miles have you driven it since your work? Perhaps the air has not run it's course. Did you think of running a straight purge to clean out the system? Just in case some small debree contaminated the system.

Did you torque each DV correctly? Tighten to 30 Nm, release. Tighten to 30 Nm, release. Tighten to 30 Nm, then to 35 Nm, lock down the DV, you're done.

Failure to reach the correct torque (or over-torque) will change the time of the injection event.

Also, you need to be clean clean clean, or risk introducing contaminants which can plug injectors and cause all sorts of trouble....

Assuming the job was done correctly there has been threads on the nailing issue.

Some have needed a few 100 miles of driving before the Nailing goes away.

There has never been a good explanation of why it happens. In one of those threads I speculated that the Delivery Valve needs to reseat itself but that is just a guess.

If you pulled out the Delivery Valve Assembly. That is a cylindrical Barrel with a valve in the Center. The Valve is only lapped into one end of the cylindrical Barrel if the Valve goes into the wrong end it is going to cause a problem.

Concerning the above each Valve is lapped to a specific cylindrical Barrel. If the get swapped to another cylindrical barrel they are not going to seal.
